Books about Artists… that promote Artists as vehicles of Change.

The Art-History-Book project originated with my desire to create an installation piece, a “something” that the ‘meaning of’ furthers the magic I feel about The Arts. I thought long and hard, came up with many different ideas of how to fill a space up but everything I did was about me, my art and my story…and I didn’t feel a satisfaction inside. THEN, I realized that I am a book designer, that is what I do for my job-job that allows me to create art. PERFECT! was the word I heard.

My intention is for the stories that the artists share, will create a paradigm shift in those who read about them and learn about the variety of feelings, visionary insights, personal histories and more that each artist brings to the world, one piece of art at a time. With each page, each artist takes you to another place of question, and seeing the importance of Art and their sharing about in the Art they create. I hope you’ll join me and a few of the artists as we share the project with you.

Art is passion exposed.

Our Ever Changing World: Through the  Eyes of Artists: “What Are You Saving From Extinction?”

Book One: (8.5 x 11 color) covers my thinking that artists “save” something from being forgotten. I thought this focus would be something everyone can relate to in today’s world of forever changing views, new technology, and global change. I noticed that artists work to bring something that is hidden into light. That their way of seeing our world opens us to new ways of being and thinking. Different perspectives help to bring about change.

Book Two:  (8.5 x 11 color) Spotlights couples and the way they collaborate. Is if just as a couple or as artists too? And how does this type of relationship function and affect their lives. When I hung the show I was very pleased to see how each couple complimented each other not only in being a couple but in the art they created.
